Ask the papers: Membership Terms
Effective October 12, 2026
These terms cover your paid membership to Ask the papers at https://research.microgreensworld.com. Ask the papers is run by Microgreens World LLC ("we", "us"). They add to the Microgreens World Terms and Conditions at https://microgreensworld.com/terms-and-conditions/. Where the two differ about Ask the papers, these terms apply.
By starting a membership, you agree to these terms.
1. What you get
Membership lets you search a library of microgreens research, open papers the app holds, chat with a paper, and ask one question across many papers. The library changes over time. Papers are added, corrected and sometimes removed.
For open-access papers, the app can show the full PDF. For other papers it works from the abstract and links you to the publisher. We don't promise any one paper will be in the library or readable in the app.
2. Price, renewal and cancelling
- Membership is $7.99 a month or $79.90 a year, in US dollars.
- Your membership renews by itself at the end of each month or year until you cancel. Stripe charges the card you gave at checkout.
- You can cancel any time from your Account page, under Manage billing. You keep access until the end of the time you already paid for.
- We don't give refunds for time already paid. If you think a charge is a mistake, email us and we will look at it.
- We may change the price for new members. If we change the price of a membership you already have, we will email you before your next renewal. If we promised you a locked price, it holds for as long as your membership stays active.
- A bonus offered with a deadline, like the Question Starter Pack, goes only to members who join by that deadline.
3. Your AI key
Ask the papers runs on your own AI key from Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI or Google (Gemini). Your key stays in your own browser. It is not sent to Microgreens World or stored on our servers.
The AI company you choose bills you for what it reads. Those charges are separate from membership, and that company's own terms apply to your use of its service. Your questions, and the paper text needed to answer them, go from your browser straight to that company.
4. Answers are not advice
The research database lists published research for education. Nothing here is medical advice, and no microgreen treats, prevents or cures any condition. Talk with your physician before you change your diet for a health reason.
Answers are written by an AI model from the papers in the library. They can be wrong or leave things out. Every answer names its sources so you can check it. Read the papers before you rely on an answer for your health, your crop or your business.
5. Fair use of your membership
- Your membership is for one person. Don't share your sign-in. A new sign-in closes the old one.
- Use the app for your own reading, growing, study and work. Don't resell access.
- Don't copy the library or the papers in bulk, and don't use robots or scripts to pull content from the app.
- Don't try to break, overload or get around the app's limits.
6. Who owns what
The papers belong to their authors and publishers. The app shows a full PDF only where the paper is open access, and each paper's own license sets what you may do with it. You may export the record for a single paper (title, authors, year, journal, DOI, abstract and citation). The app does not let you download PDFs.
The app itself, the library's tags and layout, and the Microgreens World name and logo belong to us. © 2026 Microgreens World LLC.
If you own the rights to a paper and want it taken out of the app, use the form at https://microgreensworld.com/privacy-center/contact-dmca/ or email support@microgreensworld.com. We will act on it quickly.
7. Ending or blocking a membership
You can end your membership any time by cancelling. We may block or end a membership that breaks these terms, puts the app or other members at risk, or is used for fraud. If we block a paid membership, we cancel its billing so you are not charged again.
8. The app is provided as is
We work to keep the app running and the library correct, but we provide both as is, with no warranty. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses that come from relying on an answer or from the app being unavailable, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new date. If a change is a big one, we will email members before it takes effect.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA.
